MathWorks has released Release 2026a (R2026a) of the MATLAB® and Simulink® product families, adding Simulink® Copilot and Polyspace® Copilot for embedded systems development along with Polyspace as You Code for IDE-based checking of C and C++ coding rules, defects and vulnerabilities. The release also adds full MISRA™ C/C++ 2023 support in Polyspace Bug Finder, AUTOSAR-aware stubs and Python API support in Polyspace Test and C Function block updates that let users simulate C and C++ code in Simulink without extra wrappers. Together, the updates help teams review models, identify issues earlier and move more efficiently from design through verification to production while maintaining traceability and repeatability.
