Connecting the world

Hitec Commercial Solutions has introduced the BD10BL, a high-performance brushless drone servo designed specifically for the rigorous demands of small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS).

The new actuator features a Mean Time to Failure (MTTF) of greater than 500 hours, emphasizing reliability for professional sUAS applications. Built with a 10mm case made from lightweight super engineered plastic (SEP), the unit weighs just 11.8g. This compact construction is intended for aircraft where space and weight are critical constraints, yet it maintains a durability rating of 1.2 million cycles.

Technical versatility is a core focus of the BD10BL, which operates across a voltage range of 4.0V to 8.4V. At 7.4V, the servo delivers a torque of 2.8 kgf•cm and a speed of 0.09 sec/60°. To ensure compatibility across diverse platforms, the system supports both CAN 2.0A/B and DroneCAN command protocols.

In a move to meet specific regulatory and quality standards, Hitec has confirmed the product is NDAA compliant. The manufacturing process utilizes all non-Chinese components, which the company states ensures every unit meets high standards of performance and safety.

The release of this hardware coincides with the company’s appearance at XPONENTIAL 2026.

Hitec will be showcasing its latest servo solutions for air, land, and marine applications at Booth 19020 in Detroit from May 12–14.
