Nuvoton Technology has started mass production of its KLC434FL01WW violet laser diode, delivering 402 nm wavelength output at 4.5 W in a 9.0 mm TO-9 CAN package for optical systems. The device uses an optimized structure and thermal design to improve wall-plug efficiency and heat dissipation, enabling stable continuous-wave operation and extended lifetime under high-power conditions. The laser is intended for maskless lithography, semiconductor packaging, resin curing and sensing applications, and can also serve as an alternative to mercury lamp light sources in h-line wavelength systems.
