ARPAS-UK notes the recent reports of apparent drone sightings across Europe which have brought flight operations to a stop or caused disruption to airfield/airport operations.
Whilst the geo-political situation may sometime provoke alarm over the use of drones to cause that disruption intentionally, many of these drone sightings have later been confirmed as lights mounted on crewed aircraft that have been misidentified as drones.
We would encourage the press and commentators to avoid quick conclusions and wait for verified facts before making unsupported claims.
